Sopot Beach Rugby 2026

On the weekend of 11–12 July 2026, the beach by the Sopot Pier will once again become the capital of beach rugby. This year's 14th edition of Sopot Beach Rugby will be a special one. For the first time in the tournament's history, it has been included in the prestigious EBRA Series 2026, bringing together Europe's leading Rugby 5 tournaments.

This is a major distinction for Sopot. Across seven European tournaments held in France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, and Poland, teams earn points towards the overall EBRA Series standings. The highest-ranked teams qualify for the European Club Championship Finals in Italy, which will take place one week after the tournament in Sopot.

The Sopot beach will welcome some of Europe's top beach rugby teams. In the women's competition, the lineup includes Spain's Costa Blanca Barbarians and Italy's Sabbie Mobili Rugby Club. One of the biggest attractions in the men's tournament will be Italy's Crazy Crabs, a team that has been among Europe's beach rugby elite for many years. The event will also feature Poland's strongest teams, including the medal-winning sides from the Polish Women's Rugby Sevens Championship, as well as leading men's clubs such as Energa Ogniwo Sopot and RC Lechia Gdańsk. Fans can look forward to top-class rugby and an exciting Tricity derby.

Running alongside the EBRA Series tournament, the amateur SBR Heroes competition will also take place. For the fourth time, Bulldogs Rugby UK from the United Kingdom will travel to Sopot to compete.

Nearly 50 matches will be played throughout the day.The main tournament will take place on 11 July 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., while 12 July will be dedicated to children and young people. The programme will feature rugby tournaments across various age categories, one-on-one competitions, tug of war, and many other attractions organised in cooperation with Ogniwo Sopot, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, and Promo Rugby, the organiser of the 1v1 competitions.
