This Saturday, October the 10th, Sopot will come alive with a full day of birthday celebrations and attractions. You’ll have a chance to see Sopot from a slightly different perspective, hear stories about the city, dance, and simply come together and enjoy the day.

Program:

10:30 – Family Harpuś “125 Years of Sopot” (an outdoor orienteering event at the Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, 55 Powstańców Warszawy Street; meeting point at the venue. Free admission for Sopot Card holders).
12:00 – Historical walking tour “Icons of Sopot Architecture – 125 Years” (meeting point in front of St. George’s Church, free admission).
15:00 – The main celebrations at Kuracyjny Square: a performance by a historical reenactment group, dancing with the Detko Band, a group photo of local residents, a birthday treat featuring fish soup, and the “125 Questions for 125 Years of Sopot” city knowledge quiz.
17:00 – Opening of the “Sopot Art Salon” exhibition at the Art Dialog Villa (16 Obrońców Westerplatte Street).
19:00 – Walking tour “8 Most Fascinating Villas of Sopot” (meeting point by the fountain at Kuracyjny Square, free admission).

After dark – A special birthday projection on the lighthouse, along with large-scale multimedia shows at Beach Entrance No. 19.
