Tomek Makowiecki Concert at Blugrass Hall at Radisson Blu Hotel in Sopot
During a spring May weekend, Blugrass Hall will host another musical star! Tomek Makowiecki, one of the most popular vocalists on the Polish music scene, will perform on the Sopot stage. The concert begins on Saturday, May 9 at 8:00 PM.
Tomek Makowiecki is a producer, musician, composer, vocalist, and songwriter born in Gdynia, who has been active on the Polish music scene since 2001. That was when he signed his first record deal following his memorable participation in the first edition of the show “Idol.” A year earlier, he won one of the episodes of “Szansa na Sukces” thanks to his brilliant performance of “Son of the Blue Sky” from the repertoire of the band Wilki.
He has released six studio albums (“Makowiecki Band,” “Piosenki na nie,” “Ostatnie wspólne zdjęcie,” “NO! NO! NO!,” “Moizm,” “Bailando”), and has taken part in dozens of musical events and projects in collaboration with leading artists. Tomek has been nominated multiple times for the Polish music industry awards Fryderyk, as well as for the Paszport Polityki in 2007.
Released in February 2024, the album “Bailando” ranked 2nd among the best albums of the year in a list published by Gazeta Wyborcza. It was also nominated for the Fryderyk 2025 award in the category Alternative Pop Album of the Year.
