Polish Women's Sailing Championships 2026
Dr Irena Eris has become the Title Sponsor of the Polish Women’s Sailing Championships for the fourth time, a unique regatta on a national scale that determines the best all-female sailing crew in Poland. This celebration of women’s sailing will take place from June 5–7 at the Sopot Pier.
The Dr Irena Eris Polish Women’s Sailing Championships are a unique regatta held in a format known from the Polish Sailing League. Dynamic races, officiated live by referees, take place on a short course set close to the shore, which—combined with extensive media coverage—allows spectators to easily follow the competition on the water.
The athletes compete in crews of four or five aboard modern RS21 yachts provided by the organizers. The boats are also rotated between races, ensuring maximum fairness and equal conditions for all teams.
The regatta combines passion, strength, and elegance on the water—not only through sporting competition, but also through inspirational talks by outstanding women, workshops, and accompanying events that enrich the first weekend of June at the Sopot Pier.
The competition features Poland’s top female sailors: Olympians, World, European, and national champions, including Agnieszka Skrzypulec-Szota, Olympic silver medalist; Agata Barwińska, multiple World and European Championship medalist in the ILCA class and World Sailing Youth Sailor of the Year 2024; and Ewa Lewandowska.
Amateur sailors also compete alongside professionals on the same course, vying for medals in a dedicated amateur subcategory. This combination of elite sporting level and the inclusion of women of all sailing backgrounds makes it one of the most unique events on the sailing calendar.
The Dr Irena Eris Polish Women’s Sailing Championships represent the essence of high-level sporting competition—speed, precision, teamwork, and intense emotion. We are proud to be the Title Sponsor of this regatta for the fourth time, as it is an event that truly brings women together through sport: Olympians, champions, and ambitious amateurs alike. It is this community, built on a passion for sailing and the strength of teamwork, that shapes the future of women’s sport in Poland,” emphasizes Joanna Łodygowska, Head of Communications at Dr Irena Eris.
