The Best of Mietek Szcześniak - 40 years on stage
"The Best Of Mietek Szcześniak - 40 years on stage". On Valentine's Day evening, the Blugrass restaurant at the Radisson Blu hotel in Sopot will be filled with music during a concert by an extraordinary artist who, like no one else, can create a magical, emotional atmosphere with his voice. Mietek Szcześniak - one of the most outstanding and recognizable Polish vocalists - will present songs summarizing four decades of his activity on stages in Poland and around the world.
Mietek Szcześniak is an artist appreciated by critics, loved by the audience, respected by the entire music industry. He influenced many vocalists, shaped tastes and aesthetics, promoted singing gospel and soul music in Polish, and collaborated with great instrumentalists, arrangers and producers in Poland and abroad.
He consistently and sensitively tells his own stories to the world. She sings bossa nova with a velvety voice, soul, gospel and jazz with strength and expression, and touches hearts with conviction by singing her own pop songs. A versatile, conscious vocalist, author of lyrics and music, co-producer of his own recordings. Winner of many Polish and international competitions. He was awarded the Fryderyk award three times, but his greatest reward was meeting his own audience. He started singing in front of audiences at the age of six. At the age of twenty-one, he made his official debut at the Polish Song Festival in Opole, where he won the main prize. Winner of the Amber Nightingale and the Journalists' Award in 1989 in Sopot. In 1990, he recorded his first album "Niby Nowy" and it immediately hit the charts. Together with Edyta Górniak, he recorded Dumka na Dwa Serca, the most popular Polish film song. He has recorded 10 solo albums and many gospel albums, including: New Live M, with Deus Meus and TGD choirs.
Additionally, Mietek recorded an English-language album with Grammy-nominated singer Wendy Waldman, as well as an album with the LIFE CHOIR and the iconic R&B producer, composer and lyricist, Aretha Franklin's musical director, HB Barnum.
On Valentine's Day evening at Blugrass, Mietek Szcześniak will take a sentimental journey with us through four decades of his rich career. It will be a concert full of emotion, humor, reflection, musical diversity, and also a bit of nostalgia. We will hear a voice that has been touching hearts for 40 years!
