Free eco parking at ERGO ARENA

From Monday, June 29, 2026, Sopot's 24-hour Eco Parking will be open, offering more than 700 free parking spaces next to ERGO ARENA. During the summer holiday season, as in previous years, electric shuttle buses will provide convenient transport between the parking lot and the city centre. The parking facility will remain open until August 30, 2026.

The Eco Parking at ERGO ARENA is free of charge. To use it, drivers must collect a free parking ticket and place it in a clearly visible location inside their vehicle. The ticket allows up to seven consecutive days of free parking. The only exception applies on days when large-scale events are held at ERGO ARENA. On those days, standard parking fees will apply; however, this will not affect drivers who parked before the event. Parking without displaying a valid ticket is subject to a PLN 240 fee.

"The Eco Parking has proven successful over the past several years and helps reduce traffic congestion in the city centre during the busy summer season. Leaving your car at ERGO ARENA and continuing your journey by eco-shuttle is a convenient solution. This year, with paid parking in Sopot also applying on weekends, we expect even greater interest in the free parking facility," says Michał Banacki, Deputy Mayor of Sopot.

New this season: Toilets and Yanosik navigation

A new feature this year is the installation of public toilets around ERGO ARENA. Three toilet facilities will be available for drivers and passengers using the Eco Parking. Providing sanitary facilities was one of the recommendations developed by residents and experts during Sopot's Citizens' Panel, which concluded in July last year.Another recommendation from the panel was to improve signage and add the Eco Parking to popular navigation systems and online maps. As a result, the parking facility will now be visible in the Yanosik navigation app and well positioned in Google Search. Directional signs and banners will be installed throughout the city, while information about the Eco Parking will also be promoted through local media and social media channels.

A convenient option for longer stays

With its large number of free parking spaces, the Eco Parking is an ideal solution for tourists staying in Sopot for several days. During the summer, when the city centre becomes crowded and paid parking also applies on weekends, visitors can drive to their accommodation, unload their luggage, and then leave their vehicle at the free 24-hour parking facility for the remainder of their stay.

Last summer, 6,734 weekly parking tickets were issued for the Eco Parking. Between June and September 2025, the electric shuttle buses carried 10,300 passengers, including 6,500 adults and 3,800 children.
