NAMI JumpOFF Hippodrome

The Hippodrome in Sopot is full of life all year round. At the end of summer, equestrian activity moves from beautiful green areas to indoors. The four indoor riding arenas of the Sopot center become the home of horse lovers from October to April. Training and driving lessons take place here every day, and on weekends they become an arena for sports competitions.

A very intense indoor season awaits us, with fifteen equestrian events planned, including the JumpOFF Hippodrome series, national competitions, and competitions aimed solely at young riders.

NAMI JumpOFF Hippodrome is a series well-known to equestrian enthusiasts in the Tricity area, featuring show jumping competitions held at the Hippodrome during the indoor season. The competitions are open to all age groups – you can watch the competitions of both the youngest and beginners, as well as experienced riders. Despite their regional nature, competitors from beyond Pomerania participate in the competitions, and each edition has consistently enjoyed great popularity over the years.

Show jumping is the most popular equestrian discipline – in 2024, there were 11,000 registered competitors licensed by the Polish Equestrian Federation and regularly competing in sports competitions. It's no wonder, then, that jumping has dominated the Sopot Hippodrome's calendar, from regional competitions to the most important, the CSIO in June.

The rules are clear: each competition involves a different height of obstacles and a slightly different "route" for the competitor and horse to overcome. The obstacles are numbered, and competitors familiarize themselves with the route before each competition, navigating it on foot and planning their run. Penalty points are awarded for each knocked-off bar, as is the case for exceeding the time limit.

This season, the Hippodrome also invites national jumping competitions and children's and youth jumping competitions. The latter is aimed at the youngest competitors, but this doesn't mean beginners, as the Sopot show jumping arena also hosts young champions and winners of competitions in Poland and Europe. The Children's and Youth Competitions (DiM) further the Hippodrome's mission: equestrian education. It is also a natural continuation of the horseback riding lessons that countless young people receive at the Hippodrome's schools.
