Promotion of Sopot in the prestigious Scandinavian travel magazine VAGABOND

In the latest issue of Scandinavia’s most renowned travel magazine, VAGABOND, an 8-page feature article promoting Sopot—Poland’s Riviera, the “northern Monte Carlo”—has been published.

The author of the article is an experienced Swedish journalist, Mikael Persson, who visited Sopot in October 2024 as part of a press trip, traveling by train across Poland from north to south.Sopot—“Polens Riviera”—captivated the Swedish journalist, who encourages Scandinavians in his article to visit this seaside destination. Sopot is not only a remarkable spot on Poland’s culinary map (as many as six restaurants have been recognized in the MICHELIN Guide 2025!), but also an ideal place for rest and relaxation.

A rich SPA & wellness offer, excellent cycling infrastructure, and a vibrant cultural scene organized by municipal cultural institutions—including PGS and the Forest Opera—make it a destination that should be on every traveler’s bucket list.

Promoting Sopot in VAGABOND alongside such renowned travel brands as Amsterdam, Lyon, Lisbon, and Istanbul is a great honor, and also proof that the resort charms visitors with its appeal, while its natural assets (sandy beaches and forests) attract not only domestic tourists but also international guests.

VAGABOND is Sweden’s largest travel magazine, published both in print and online. It inspires travel focused on adventure, culture, and authentic experiences, rather than just typical tourist attractions.
