Healthy Ports 2025 - Men's Health Festival returns to Sopot
Health is not a chore! For the second time, the Healthy Ports festival, dedicated to men's health, will be held in Sopot. This free event breaks taboos, encourages conversations about physical and mental health, and demonstrates that self-care isn't weakness, but wisdom and strength. The event is organized by the Masterki Cyklu Association and the City of Sopot.
Why men's health?
The statistics are relentless – in Poland, men live an average of seven years shorter than women. At the same time, only 55-65% of men regularly consult a doctor, about 10 percentage points less than women. The National Health Fund (NFZ) report "Health? A Men's Thing" shows that only 43% of men have ever seen a cardiologist, and a third of men over 35 say they've never seen a urologist. The belief that men should be "tough" and not show weakness persists. This often results in people avoiding testing and downplaying health problems until they're truly ill.The Healthy Ports program creates a space where they can discuss these issues openly, without medical jargon or judgment."The Healthy Ports program shows that health can be discussed in many ways, whether it's at a lecture on the brain, during sports workshops, or within a men's circle," says Magdalena Czarzyńska-Jachim, Mayor of Sopot. "As a city, we support such initiatives because prevention begins with openness and the courage to talk openly about health." Healthy Ports perfectly met the needs of the residents of Sopot and the Tricity area. Last year's edition showed that the topic of men's health still needs to be demystified, and this is very much needed. That's why this year we've expanded the festival to two days. I encourage you to participate, talk about health, pause for a moment, and take care of yourself."
Healthy Ports 2025 - Program
This year's festival will last two days and will include lectures and talks (including on healthy sex, andropause, and men's depression), workshops (movement and sports, dialogue and anger, and a men's circle), and other attractions, such as a film with a discussion, medical consultations and consultations with a urogynecological physiotherapist for men, a barbershop, a quiz with prizes, and much more.

Why are we doing it?
Following the success of the "Girls in the Resort" women's health festival, the Masterki Cyklu Association has also been organizing the "Healthy Ports" festival in Sopot since last year. The initiative aims to create a space where conversations about health—both physical and mental—become natural, open, and taboo-free."A healthy partner, father, or son is not only a personal benefit; it also brings peace and security to entire families." We want conversations about health to be natural, not something to be ashamed of," says Aleksandra Trościankowska, vice president of the Masterek Cykle.
