Sopot nominated in the Travelist 2026 Winter Stars rankings
Which places on the Baltic Sea deserve to be called the biggest stars of the winter season? We will know the answer soon. Travelist magazine announces the start of the 3rd edition of the "Winter Stars of Travelist" plebiscite - one of the most recognizable editorial rankings devoted to domestic winter tourism. This year's edition is under the patronage of the Polish Tourist Organization, and Internet users who take part in the vote until January 23, 2026, can additionally compete for up to PLN 1.5 thousand. "Winter Travelist Stars" is an annual ranking created by Internet users by voting for destinations and attractions nominated by Travelist Magazine. The plebiscite - like other editorial initiatives, e.g. the Ranking of Polish Beaches or the Ranking of Polish Spas - annually engages thousands of people who share their experiences and indicate places that guarantee the best winter recreation.
– This year, for the third time, Internet users will indicate their favorite winter places and attractions in our plebiscite. The two previous editions enjoyed great interest, showing that we love Polish winter more and more. And we want to experience it in different ways: not only in the mountains or on the ski slope, but also at the seaside, in an amusement park, in thermal baths or walking along atmospheric city streets. That is why we have expanded the number of categories and nominated entities to further emphasize that winter in Poland has many colors - says Marek Świrkowicz, editor-in-chief of Travelist Magazine.
Five categories and as many as 50 nominations
Criteria such as tourist offer, infrastructure, availability of attractions and guest experience determined the location or entity among the nominees.
In the 2026 edition, Internet users will vote in five categories, and in each of them they can choose from ten nominations. You can vote for Sopot in the "Place by the sea" category. Voting in the plebiscite is free and open to all Internet users. Each participant can cast one vote in each of the five categories via an online survey: https://promocje.travelist.pl/zimowe- Gwiazdy-travelist. The voting will last until January 23, 2026, and the ranking results will be announced in the first week of February in the Travelist Magazine.
In parallel with the voting, the editorial office prepared a competition for participants to encourage them to take part in the plebiscite. After casting votes, you can indicate the hotel from the current Travelist.pl offer, which - in the participant's opinion - will be best for a winter holiday, and justify your choice in a creative way. The authors of the most interesting answers will receive three prizes in Travelist funds: PLN 1.5 thousand. PLN 1,000 for first place PLN for the second and PLN 500 for the third. The editors will announce the winners on January 31 on the competition website.
Great potential of Polish winter tourism
An important reinforcement of this year's edition is the patronage of the Polish Tourist Organization, which emphasizes the importance of the plebiscite in the context of promoting Poland as an attractive winter travel destination.

These are both guests from abroad and domestic tourists, not only getting to know new wonderful objects, but also rediscovering forgotten places. I am glad that, according to the latest research, more than half of Poles who decide to spend their winter holidays choose Poland. The "Winter Travelist Stars" plebiscite presents unique tourist attractions of Poland in its winter version, inspiring people to travel around the country, also outside the summer season. This fits perfectly into the mission of the Polish Tourist Organization and is an encouragement to take further initiatives to promote our country as an excellent tourist destination - says Magdalena Krucz, President of the Polish Tourist Organization.
