Sopot Pumptrack Now Open

Residents of Sopot, the Tricity area, and tourists have gained a new spot on the resort’s sports map. A modern pumptrack—a sports and recreational track—has been opened on Władysława Łokietka Street, right next to the Ergo Arena. It is a space designed for enthusiasts of bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades.

The investment was carried out by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre (MOSiR).The idea for building the track was inspired by a proposal submitted years ago to the Participatory Budget by a student from one of Sopot’s schools.

Although the project did not receive the required number of votes at the time, the strong interest in the young person’s initiative encouraged us to bring it to life,” emphasizes Magdalena Czarzyńska-Jachim, Mayor of Sopot. “We invite entire families to spend their time actively.” This place is ideal not only for sporting fun but also for relaxation.

Track specifications:
  • Area: 589 m²
  • Track length: min. 89 m
  • Track width: min. 1.7 m
  • Number of banked turns: 3

The site also includes a rest and preparation area, with benches, bike racks, and information boards installed. The whole space is complemented by new greenery, which will be fully appreciated once the weather warms up and the plants come into full bloom.

Investment cost: PLN 330,748.97 (gross)
